HOW CAN A LIFE COACH HELP YOU?
The highest reward is who we become, not what we achieve or have. –Tavis Smiley
Do you want to make a change? Do you need to make a change?
If you’re reading this, you’re probably not completely satisfied with your life. Maybe you feel stuck where you are now, and are finding it hard to imagine changing your situation. You may want to make some changes in order to reach unfulfilled goals or dreams. You may just want to break a bad habit, or start a good one. Perhaps you don’t like the direction your life is taking you. One of my clients hired a Life Coach (me) because she wanted to change her way of thinking. As I was watching a talk show recently, they polled the audience and 50% of them indicated that they wanted to make a change in their lives! Life never stays the same. Some of us don’t like change, but change is actually good, even though change is hard. Most of us cannot make permanent changes in our lives on our own. We are creatures of habits and it’s easy to slide into old patterns.
That is where a Lilfe Coach can help. The kind of change you are considering isn’t the important thing. What IS significant is that you want to make a change, and you want it to ‘stick’. Why put in all the effort and then a year from now find yourself in the same spot where you started? That’s frustrating. Believe me – I can identify. For years I tried to change my attitude towards my situation, but on my own I felt helpless! I had no one to be accountable to. I had no one to help me figure out how to tackle such a huge challenge. And no one admonished me – they wouldn’t dare! (The problem was my attitude, remember?) I felt stuck and had no idea where to start. Where was a Life Coach when I needed one?
How a Life Coach help you!
Life coaching could help you look at your life from a different perspective and help you develop a plan to make changes that will improve your quality of life. If you are willing to do whatever it takes to create the life you deserve and desire, life coaching would be a perfect fit.
Having a Life Coach can speed up your personal development and help you make smart choices and decisions. Life coaching will help you create a compelling future and design a plan to get there. A Life Coach will help you break your plan down into bite-sized goals with realistic deadlines. Having a Life Coach will also keep you accountable along the way.
You may want to grow in your professional life and life coaching will definitely empower you to do that. As you grow professionally, you’ll also experience personal growth. When you work hard to improve your life in one area, it spills over into other areas.
If you’re lacking self-confidence or are experiencing fears or anxieties, a Life Coach will help you figure out your values and empower you to live according to them. Life coaching has helped clients to discover who they are and who they want to become. In the process, their confidence grows, their fears diminish and their anxieties become less and less. One of my clients has discovered who she is when she’s not trying to be who other people expect her to be and she likes her ‘new’ self. She is empowered with self-confidence and no longer lives to please others. Thanks to life coaching, she is now dancing a new dance and loving it.
